Sorry I haven’t posted in a while!
Just a random story to share. Here’s a photo from San Diego Comic Con 2006:
This was our third and last Comic Con, and the only one Chase went to. I took my Stormtrooper armor to wear to the 501st photo – only my second time wearing it. Chase had his brand new Darth Vader costume.
So here’s both of us, I’m still not used to my Stormtrooper and had never walked that far in it, and I’m getting bites on the back of my legs. This was only Chase’s second time wearing Vader and he wasn’t sure of his mobility and also didn’t think he could take his helmet off. Ashley was a complete saint to handle for both of us this day.
We get to the photo and they want to do the “buckets off” pic. I’m not of much use to Chase, so some of the 501st handlers come over and are trying to help us get his helmet off. The entire time my stupid hand plates keep falling off (the sticky back velcro failed!), so I was frustrated – this particular photo captured the moment where I was motioning to Ashley, to come HERE and take my STUPID hand plates so I could help Chase.
Two thing I love about this picture – that Ashley captured that “COME HERE NOW” look on me, but also, all the faces of the other 501st members around us. LOL.
